Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit our site, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- IP address and approximate geographic location (city/state level)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time on page, and referring URL
- Clickstream data (how you navigate the site)

- To match you with trade school programs — our core function is connecting career seekers with accredited training programs. Your trade interest, location, and contact information may be shared with partner trade schools in your area as described in Section 6
- To improve the platform — analyzing aggregate usage data to improve content, quiz logic, and user experience
- To communicate with school and employer partners — sharing aggregated, non-personally-identifiable interest data with partners to help them understand demand in their area
- To comply with legal obligations — responding to lawful requests from government authorities, enforcing our Terms of Service, or protecting the rights and safety of our users
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you without human review.
SMS / Text Message Communications
What We Text You
If you opt in to SMS, we may send you:
- Information about trade training programs that match your stated interest and location
- Notifications about program enrollment windows, open seats, or deadlines
- Follow-up messages related to your quiz results or PDF download
- Periodic updates relevant to your trade of interest
Message frequency varies. We aim to send no more than 4–6 messages per month unless you have specifically requested more frequent updates.
Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan. Forged Careers does not charge for SMS messages beyond any fees your carrier may impose.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts. You may also opt out by emailing us at nate@forgedcareers.com with "SMS Opt-Out" in the subject line.

Our SMS Service Provider
We use Twilio, Inc. to send and receive SMS messages. Twilio processes your mobile phone number on our behalf. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy. We do not share your mobile phone number with any party other than our SMS service provider for the purpose of delivering messages you consented to receive.
Opting in to SMS does not sell your phone number to any third party for independent marketing purposes.
Email Communications
Transactional Emails
When you download a PDF or submit your information through our platform, we may send you transactional emails related to that action — delivering the requested file, confirming your submission, or providing information about next steps. These emails are not marketing and will be sent regardless of marketing preference.
Marketing Emails
If you subscribe to Forged Intel or check the email opt-in box on any Forged Careers form, you consent to receive periodic email communications including career content, trade industry insights, program announcements, and information about our partners. We send these via our email service provider, Beehiiv.
How to Unsubscribe
Every marketing email we send includes a clear and functional unsubscribe link in the footer, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. You may also unsubscribe by emailing nate@forgedcareers.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
CAN-SPAM Compliance
We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Our commercial emails accurately identify the sender (Trade Roles LLC d/b/a Forged Careers), include our physical mailing address, and never use deceptive subject lines or misleading "From" addresses.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the platform. Specifically:
- Essential cookies — required for basic site functionality (e.g., page navigation, form submission). You cannot opt out of these without disabling the site.

Trade School Partners
Forged Careers is a lead generation platform. Our core business is connecting career seekers with accredited trade training programs. When you submit your information through our quiz, Get Matched form, or PDF download, you may be contacted by trade schools in your area that offer programs matching your stated interest.
We share your name, email address, phone number, location, and trade interest with partner schools for this purpose. We only work with accredited trade schools and vocational programs. We do not sell your data to unaffiliated third-party marketers, data brokers, or advertising networks.
If you do not wish to be contacted by trade schools, do not submit your phone number through our platform, or contact us at nate@forgedcareers.com to request that your information not be shared with school partners.
Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Trade Roles LLC, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers
If Trade Roles LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on this site if such a transfer occurs and your data is subject to a materially different privacy policy.
Data Retention
